Are you looking for a natural way to thicken your hair? Ugh, it feels so gut wrenching when you see your hair falling out. You might even be questioning if it is possible for your hair to grow thicker naturally??

The great news is, yes you can. I have an essential oil hair thickening recipe that is a great option for you.

It has been the way I was able to stop my hair from thinning more and actually grow it back naturally!

Here is my hair before I started using essential oils (and good supplements) for hair thickening and after!
Here is my before and after. I started to use essential oils for hair thickening (and good supplements) and my hair stopped falling out and grew in fuller and thicker!

If you are like me, I felt devestation every day when I washed or brushed my hair and it started to come out in clumps. It would be right around my temples and hairline that I started to notice it thinning the most..

There are a few main reasons why your hair could be thinning:

  • Stress
  • Hormones
  • Sleep deprivation
  • Nutritional depletion
  • Anemia
  • Certain drugs
  • Haircare routine

I knew mine was hormones, stress and I was vegan (which was not good for my body or hair).

One day out of desperation, but total belief that I can grow my hair I asked on Instagram “who knows how I can grow my hair back naturally?”. Thankfully, my friend reached out to me right away saying “Essential Oils!!”

In 2016 I bought my first certified pure therapeutic grade essential oils. I specifically wanted these essential oils for hair growth, hair thickening and also hormone balancing. I use the essential oils for hair thickening daily, along with a great supplement line and use non-toxic shampoo and conditioner.

Even through my pregnancy and postpartum, I used the essential oils to prevent hair fall and promote hair growth naturally.

How do essential oils help with hair thickening?

Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts that have been used for centuries for their therapeutic properties. Please keep in mind, not all essential oils are created equally and the oils from the grocery store are usually synthetic and won’t make a difference for your hair thickening and growth.

You want pure certified essential oils and I use ones that I know the oils are extracted from plants that are grown in their natural habitat where they grow naturally.

Plus, essential oils can support your hormone health, your sleep and stress!

If you are ready to use essential oils to grow your hair thicker, I got you!

Fun fact, Each hair strand on human body has its own nerve, blood supply and muscle!

Essential oils for hair thickening:

  1. Rosemary oil: Rosemary oil is known for its ability to stimulate hair growth and improve hair thickness. It contains antioxidants that help to protect hair from damage and stimulate blood circulation in your scalp, promoting healthy hair growth.
  2. Peppermint oil: Peppermint oil is another essential oil that can help to thicken hair. It has a cooling effect on your scalp, which helps to improve blood flow and increase hair growth. It also contains menthol, which helps to strengthen hair follicles and reduce hair loss.
  3. Cedarwood oil: Cedarwood oil is believed to promote hair growth by stimulating the hair follicles and improving blood circulation in your scalp. It also has anti-inflammatory properties that help to reduce scalp irritation and dandruff, which can contribute to hair loss.
  4. Lavender oil: Lavender oil has a calming effect on the scalp, which can help to reduce stress and promote healthy hair growth. It also contains antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, which help to soothe and nourish your scalp.
  5. Tea tree oil: Tea tree oil is known for its anti-fungal and antibacterial properties, which can help to keep your scalp healthy and free of infection. A healthy scalp is essential for healthy hair growth.
  6. Ylang-ylang oil: Ylang-ylang oil is a natural hair thickener that helps to promote healthy hair growth. It stimulates your scalp and increases blood circulation, which helps to nourish the hair follicles and promote thicker, stronger hair.

To use essential oils for hair thickening, mix a few drops of your chosen oil with a carrier oil such as coconut oil or jojoba oil. Massage the oil into your scalp and hair, leave it on for at least 30 minutes, then rinse it out with shampoo and conditioner. You can also add a few drops of essential oil to your shampoo or conditioner for an extra boost of hair-thickening goodness.

My favourite hair thickening support is making a hair grow spray!

Add 15 drops of each essential oil to a 4oz glass spray bottle and top with filtered water.
Spray on your roots after washing and before styling or use daily even on dry hair!

In conclusion, essential oils can be an effective and natural way to thicken your hair. They help to stimulate blood circulation, nourish the scalp, and promote healthy hair growth. Just be sure to dilute the oils properly and use them as directed to avoid any adverse reactions.

I have put together your “Hair Thickening Essential Oil Bundle” to get the best essential oils for hair thickening and the best price here!

I’ll be honest, I was skeptical of chaga when I first heard of it! Drinking a mushroom did not sound appealing to me and I had a fear it would taste bad!

However, my desire to actually buy some and sip it daily was because people close to me who drink it daily, shared the benefits of its immune support and levels of vitamin d.

This time of year it is important to be consuming proper supplements and also things like chaga to keep yourself protected and well!

Currently, my toddler is napping and I’m writing you this post as I am sipping my first cup of chaga today and every single time I drink it I think of all the amazing benefits it is offering my body.

Did you know chaga is small mushroom that grows on bark of birch trees from the very north?

Ok, a big question I get from people are “what does it taste like?”

My answer is…nothing really! It is earthy and mild.

What I have personally noticed is my body now craves a good mug of chaga, it’s soothing, and my go to time to sip it is during Noa’s afternoon nap with a chocolate chip cookie and before bed. It really just does magic within my body.

You can easily sip chaga tea on it’s own or add it to your coffee! It is dark like coffee when it is brewed.

Let’s talk about what the benefits of Chaga are and what you can get from this mushroom!

It is known as a superfood and is rich in vitamins and minerals. It is an anti-inflammatory and immune support.

It is said to slow the aging process and prevents and fights cancer. (you can read more on this site: alaskachaga.us)

The chaga mushroom is one of the most anti-oxidant rich foods and it is so powerful in our bodies to consume. Also, it contains beta glucans (which are also important for the health of your teeth!) and help your immune system by stimulating production and activities of the white blood cells.

I know this is all sounding quite sciencey, but let me share from my own shifts in my body since drinking chaga daily!

+ My skin has been very clear and even toned.

+ I haven’t even caught a cold in the past 2 years!

+ I had a couple sensitive teeth and they are no longer.

+ It absolutely supports digestion!

+ Oh! My skin used to be greasy and it’s not. So that’s a win!

Because chaga is high in vitamin d it is so important that you and your family consider either enjoying a mug of chaga a day or taking your vitamin d supplemts. I personally do both!

I will share the Chaga I personally consume and this is the Vitamin D I take!

The chaga mushroom is basking in the sun in the forest as it grows, so it really is picking up all the greatness of mother nature and allowing you to consume it. Get this! If you decide to brew up chunks of chaga, once you’ve reused them a few times you can charge your chaga in the sun and get it back to boiling! So cool.

I want to share with you the chaga tea that I personally drink and love!

  1. Harmonic Arts Concentrated Chaga Mushroom Powder
This powder is the simplest way to make and sip your mug of chaga. You can add a 1/4 tsp to a mug and add boiling water and that’s it!

Buy it here off Amazon and you will love sipping on a mug or two a day!

2. Harmonic Arts Chaga Tea Cut

Harmonic Arts also has a bag you can buy of the “tea cut” and they are granules of the chaga mushroom and you can steep them for 5 min to hours in your mug or pot and reuse the granules!

I personally love the experience of this with the granules in a tea steeper (or they can float in your mug) but the tea takes longer before you can drink it because it needs to steep!

I’ll link to the Harmonic Arts website so you can check it out here. I can’t find the “tea cut” on amazon for you…

3. Big Chaga Chunks!

A friend of ours gifted us some chaga chunks and this is really wild! You can keep a chunk of chaga warm in the slow cooker and keep taking mugfuls from the batch and just re-adding water! You literally don’t need to think about boiling a mug, it will be ready for you : )

Get wild Canadian harvested Chaga Chunks here!

My biggest question I had before I started drinking chaga was…

Is if it is safe to drink while breastfeeding??

Although I asked around to many people like a lactation consultant and the owners of chaga shops, I feel really connected listening to other moms who have asked the same and shared with me what they did….

Many women shared with me that they did indeed drink chaga while nursing and have for years.

As always, if you’re questioning anything like this yourself always feel into what feels most aligned for you!

They say not enough studies have been done on chaga and nursing mom’s, but as you will quickly get to know me here, I lean towards my intuition and God more than anything else!

My lactation consultant suggested that I start to drink it when Noa is ok to go with longer windows before feedings. That felt good to me and here we are.

I have 1-2 cups a day!

I say this with love, now is the time to really get to know natural ways to support your and your families wellness and I believe everyone needs to be on the chaga sipping game and have their home stocked with great supplements and essential oils! With all it’s benefits and more and more things we face in our world today, we need all the protection and support we can get, naturally!

I would love to hear from you! Do you drink chaga or are you ready to start??

Do you love weekend breakfast as much as I do?? There is something so comforting waking up on a weekend and making a warm breakfast that requires maple syrup and makes my family happy!

I have been making my loves healthy gluten free banana pancakes lately and pancakes are a hit with our toddler so if you have been searching for a pancake recipe with good ingredients that the whole family will love, this is it!

I have tried many “health pancake” recipes and they all turned out mushy because of the banana and taste a little too banana’y 😉

Like I said these pancakes my 1 year old loves and actually eats 2 to herself! When I first made these I felt like I won the lotto! Finally something she would eat without me asking her to take another bite. So, what I have been doing is making a batch once a week (like I do with my gluten free chocolate chip cookies!) and putting the leftovers in the fridge and heating one up in the toaster to give it to her with an egg.

These healthy pancakes are super easy to freeze as well and the best way to reheat a pancake is the toaster!! Turn the toaster to the highest setting and let your kitchen fill up with the Sunday morning aroma….

My secret to making these pancakes super fun is to add a few dark chocolate chips to the batter. They are delicious with the chocolate, but not too many…just a few!

If you don’t want to add chocolate chips the pancakes are great without them or you could try blueberries added to the batter!

Also! It is important to me that our family is eating the best quality foods and I really trust the One Degree brand oats. These oats are not only gluten free, they are sprouted! So if you want to find really good oats for your oatmeal or for grinding up to bake, these are the ones I always suggest!

I love to top these chocolate chip pancakes with sliced banana, grass fed butter and pure maple syrup. But they are also delicious with warmed berries or even a cinnamon apple compote. Mmmm.

Healthy Banana Pancakes With Chocolate Chips

2 cups of Oat Flour (I grind up gluten free oats in my magic bullet!)

2 mashed ripe bananas

1 egg

2/3 cup milk (I use grass fed 2%)

1 tbsp maple syrup

1 tsp vanilla

1/4 tsp sea salt

1 1/4 tsp cinnamon

2 tsp baking powder

1/4 cup dark chocolate chips

Grass fed butter for your skillet

How To Make Your Healthy Banana Pancakes:

Grind your oats into a flour (or use oat flour) and mash your bananas!

Mix together all the ingredients in a big mixing bowl by hand.

Heat your skillet on medium (If you have a gas stove I find you will turn it lower after the first batch of pancakes)

Add your butter to the skillet and pour 1/4 cup of batter for your pancakes!

Cook for 2-4 min a side or watch for all the bubbles to pop and then flip!

Once your pancakes are done, grease the skillet again for the next ones!

For Noa, our toddler, I butter the pancakes and drizzle with pure maple syrup and cut them up into bite size pieces and she loves picking up each piece with her little fork and says “mmm”. If you’re a mom doesn’t it make your mama heart so happy when your child loves what you make for them?!

Enjoy your pancakes with your toppings of choice and make sure to tag me when you do on Instagram @kris_britton

I want to hear from you, are healthy pancakes a favourite weekend breakfast food in your home as well?

Nothing beats the feeling of comfort when you bite into a freshly baked gluten free chocolate chip cookie.

Isn’t it the best to sit down with a cup of coffee and enjoy when the chocolate chips are still warm and gooey?

Since becoming a mom and working passionately on making the house a home for our family in my feminine, I have started baking again weekly. Gluten-free chocolate chip cookies are a major hit in our home and our guests love them too.

Baking is like therapy to me. I love putting on some music while I get my ingredients together and I enjoy the whole process. My weekly cookie baking goal is to always I take the butter out early while I sip my coffee on a Friday morning and have the cookies in the oven by 11am so when I have guests come by we all get to enjoy a cookie or two!

If you are a chocolate fan like I am, make sure to try these healthy sugar-free Twix Bars!

Back to the best chocolate chip cookies…

Honestly, I have made these specific chocolate chip cookies with all purpose flour (the gluten kind) as well and they have such a fudgy texture which I love. The gluten-free version are a bit fluffier, but they are still so delicious.

Although we don’t always stay away from gluten in our home, I make these cookies gluten-free more often because for some reason it signals my brain that I can eat more in a day without guilt ; )

The Best Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies:

1 cup coconut sugar

1/2 cup soft grass fed butter (I leave mine on the counter for a few hours)

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp warm water

1/4 tsp sea salt

1 1/2 cup gluten free flour (I use this 1 to 1 gluten free flour blend)

1/2 cup chocolate chips (I use the sugar free Lily Brand dark chocolate chips)

To Make The Best Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies:

Preheat oven to 350.

Mix the baking soda and warm water and have it ready for to be added.

Mix together the coconut sugar with the softened butter very well.

Add in the egg and the vanilla and mix. Add in the baking soda and water mixture to the dough.

Add the sea salt and gluten free flour and stir together until well combined and fold in the chocolate chips!

Drop large spoonfuls onto a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes (or until the edges are golden brown)

I will have a chocolate chip cookie with my afternoon chaga tea and enjoy the peace while my daughter naps. This is my time to catch up on messages and work and enjoy some treats!

Make sure to tag me on instagram when you make these gluten-free chocolate cookies!

What cookie recipe would love to see next??

Let’s talk about how to be feminine as a woman and why it is important.

Did you know that you have a core essence? Masculine or Feminine.

A woman in her feminine is powerful, passionate and very intuitive. A woman not in her feminine will feel as if something is missing in her life. If you feel like you’re missing something in your life, this post is for you!

If you feel like you are missing your feminine spark and have been finding yourself exhausted and burnt out from giving too much, it is time you reconnect to your feminine radiance as a woman and let this superpower of yours beam.

Be honest, do you feel burnt out as a woman?

If you do, it’s normal. For the past 12 years I have worked with hundreds of women to help them be women again! Does this sound silly? Really, “how could a woman lose her femininity” anyways?! As silly as it sounds, many women have been programmed to shame their femininity! You go-go-go and hit a wall where you feel a massive breakdown in your life, health and relationship and start feeling like you are unwell, not good enough, super tired, the list goes on…

You might be asking, “how do I know if I have a feminine core essence or a masculine core essence?”

I’m going to give you the simplest way to know you are feminine at the core!

Ask yourself these 2 questions and answer from your heart:

Would you rather be cherished first and respected second?

or

Respected first and cherished second?

The feminine wants to be cherished.

The masculine is always wanting respect.

If you are in a relationship and you are NOT being cherished, look at how you are with your partner…are you respecting him?

At the same time, wanting to be respectful to your partner when you feel resentment can be hard!

Why would he not want to cherish you?

You are the one demanding respect and this puts you both in your masculine. I’ll tell you what, two masculines in a relationship cancels out the energy and there is literally no polarity.

Phew. It’s a deep conversation, isn’t it?

Let me share MY story with how I came back to my feminine as a woman!

My now husband Ryan and I have been together for over 20 years and married for 3. I was very competitive with him and we constantly had a power struggle in our relationship. My parents taught me if I want something in life I must hustle really hard and “do as the boys do” am I right?!

My mind would be upset that we weren’t engaged sooner and I would be such a nag to him! I learned that my controlling ways caused a fear of commitment, pushing feeling cherished away and my constant competing with Ryan created a disconnect for us romantically.

What is interesting is my competitive drive helped our business become successful, deep down my heart wanted love over praise.

Back in 2012 we achieved success in our business together and we celebrated the massive goal we achieved. Our whole relationship all I was focused on was business and money and never on my happiness or our relationship. It was quick for us to see that neither of us were meeting each others needs and putting our love on the back burner to business.

Though we focused together on action in our business to achieve the goal and treated our business as our common ground, our romantic life did not get better. Clearly money wasn’t solving my lack of femininity.

I started working with a coach who helped me see that my relationship with Ryan was flat. Ryan and I were like crabs in bucket, have you heard this saying? As quickly as one would climb up, one would pull the other down.

I was NOT in my feminine receiving Ryan’s guidance and love, I was the one trying to guide and lead him!!

Because I was not in my feminine radiance, my body had many health issues. My hormones were out of harmony. I had acne, hair loss, horrible irregular periods and I decided to overhaul my life that year.

The hardest thing for me was to accept that being in my feminine was powerful.

I prided myself in being able to everything on my own that I never asked for help.

I started to heal this within myself and explore my story around the feminine energy and why I pushed it away within myself and started to help other women do the same!

Ryan took the lead in our relationship, I trusted him and I focused on my heart and feeling filled up.

We got engaged and married and had a baby all in a couple short years!!

What does the feminine want in life?

Actually as simple way to feel what the feminine wants is to just know that you want LOVE.

In other words, love and relationships are the most important thing to a feminine woman and if there is love missing in your relationships you will see it reflecting in all areas of your life. You naturally desire to be seen, heard and filled up with things that bring you joy!!

You don’t want to be bogged down by things that cause a lot of stress or challenges.

The masculine energy thrives on providing and building. They love a challenge where they are risking it all!

I am not saying you will never be in your masculine “doing mode”, you absolutely will be! If you have goals or a job you must take action and you will be in times you are in hustle mode.

When you know the power of you in your femininity, you will spend less time forcing and more time flowing in your life and creating, this is the secret!

How does a woman lose her feminine energy?!

If the feminine core essence is our super power as a woman, how did we lose it? Your feminine essence started to dim in your childhood and here’s how. Back then, your dad (or the masculine in your home) would have come home and asked “How did you do today?” and as a little girl wanting love, you will link up in the brain that you must DO GOOD to BE GOOD.

Doing energy again is not the feminine’s vibe. She loves to receive.

If your dad came home and said “How did you FEEL doing that today?” you would have linked up that your feelings matter and that they are acceptable and play a role in how you create as a female.

As you can tell, this was wired in us at a young age and by what you heard and saw in the home!

If mom was the controlling one and “wore the pants”, you were shown to tuck our feminine receiving abilities away and only push push push to get what you want. This is exhausting after time!!

I was taught if I wanted anything to not whine, but instead just go after it! This left me believing that feelings don’t matter and I should just push them aside and take more and more action to be seen, loved and heard by the people who mean the most to me.

I shamed he feminine and had a story it was weak to be a girly girl.

Again, this left me out of harmony.

What happens to a woman who’s not in her feminine?

Listen, you as a woman can juggle many things at one time. It’s truly amazing how much you as a woman can manage at one time. The feminine brain quickly flips from right to left lobe and it is easy for women to do this!

But when you as the feminine decide to take on the masculine role of the giver, provider, and leader of the home and it’s not your natural essence, there will a cost to you not being in your feminine. The cost is always going to be your energy, time and health.

Women I have helped come back into their feminine had to give up control and trust the power of their femininity. That meant they hit burn out and broke down. They were able to feel what they truly wanted and that was to be cherished and loved.

Some women were at the brink of divorce! I would hear how fed up she was with their husband’s lack of purpose in his life and when I asked if she voiced her feelings to her husband this, she said “No, I just took charge”. This is the number one thing women complain to me about, their men not stepping up and I would simply ask “do you let him have a chance?”

Yes, look at where you want to take charge and get things done faster. Does asking for help cause you to feel uncomfortable? Because the feminine receives, you must notice where you want to push help and love away and let the masculine in to give to YOU! It is key to work with the masculine together in harmony! These energies are like a battery that are meant to work together.

Will he F up? Yes. Stop controlling and let him F up. Trust trust trust!

So, explore this within yourself…what does the feminine within you need and why are you pushing it away?

This is what a feminine woman can feel if she is not living in her feminine…

Heaviness.

Exhaustion.

Burnout.

Confusion.

Overwhelm.

…many other things too.

Your health and body will feel it when you are not in your feminine essence. Your hormone health will feel it. What can happen when you are not fully in your feminine is the male hormones; testosterone and cortisol will rise and again, this will leave you feeling quite depleted over time.

To put it another way, the feminine LOVES to be fuelled up and RADIANT, when you are out of our core feminine essence you notice you feel dull and lack your true radiance.

My focus for you right now is to get your radiance UP.

I have a whole workbook that can help you. Download Tools For A Radiant You Workbook now!

How to get back into the feminine as a woman!

  1. You have to choose if you you truly want to live a life where you are cherished first.
  2. Every morning and night check in with your heart – “On a scale of 1-10 where is my heart? What does it need?” (give your heart what it needs to feel closer to a 10)
  3. Let yourself be cherished. Receive compliments, gifts, guidance, love, the beauty around you daily.
  4. Put your controlling ways aside and trust that you can be lead. (I know this can ruffle feathers. If you are in a relationship and want to be in the feminine, trust your partners lead. Let him plan the dates and receive!!)
  5. If you’re a busy woman like I am, make sure you are taking 30 min a day to have a bath and come back into your body, your heart and your feelings. This 30 minute “reset” will allow you to hang up your lady balls and switch back into your feminine!
  6. Stop shaming your feminine and embrace it! Do things daily that fill you up with JOY!! Do you do what you love for a living? Are you doing creative things you love to do? Are you enjoying each bit of food, sip of coffee and self-care? Start today.
  7. Wear things that make you feel really good! Even down to your pyjamas! If they are ratty throw them out.
  8. If getting ready every day makes you feel radiant and feminine, do it. Even if you’re not seeing anyone.
  9. Have times through the day where you move your body and dance or workout!! The feminine feels, she needs to feel her body and appreciate it. She also needs to let stagnant emotions out!
  10. If you need help with hormones, ask me! I worked with essential oils to heal mine and this helped me get back into my feminine (and grow my hair back)

As you can tell by reading through some of the ways you can get back into your feminine as a woman it all comes down to FEELING. Let yourself process your feelings, be filled up with feelings of love, spend time with loved ones, make great meals, it goes on and on…make a list of what you really want to feel every day. : )

OK!! There is more to this list when it comes to getting back into your feminine WITH your partner – would it help you if I did a blog post on that specific topic?? Let me know below in the comments!

Here is a fun sugar-free, healthier twix bar that I know your family will love.

Healthy Twix Bar Recipe

First off I’ll say this…your healthy twix bars do not need to be sugar free like these ones are. You can make them with pure maple syrup and any chocolate of choice (milk or dark). But we’ll get to the recipe in a second!

Do you love chocolate bars as much as I do??

I have two food loves, dark chocolate and dark coffee.

Something I absolutely love to do is make treats for my family. If I have guests, I will get the baking in and the coffee on and let the aroma fill the house and I get so much joy when I see the look on everyone’s eyes when they see the final product being placed before them to bite.

If you’re anything like me, chocolate bars were where the allowance went. Well…Chocolate and Tiger Beat Magazines. I would save all week to then hop on my bike with my friends and peddle to the local market where I took forever to decide which chocolate bar would be my treat.

I was always deciding between a twix, kitkat, junior mints or mars.

Today I love chocolate and coffee. Back then it was chocolate and heartthrobs!

I haven’t had a milk chocolate candy bar like I used to in years. Ever since I overhauled my health and wellness, I make most of my treats or stick to healthy bars. The twix knock off I am sharing with with you today is made with good ingredients and I made them sugar free!

Isn’t it amazing you can still have chocolate bars and not feel like you have to sacrifice your health goals!

These “Healthy Twix Bars” are fun to make and really fun to eat!

Healthy Twix Bars:

Base:

1 Cup Oat Flour (Or Almond Flour)
2/3 Cup Coconut Flour
1/3 Cup Sugar Free Syrup (or Real Maple Syrup)
1/4 Cup Melted Coconut Oil

Caramel:

1/3 Cup Peanut Butter (or Almond Butter / Sunflower Seed Butter)
1/2 Cup Syrup
1 tsp Coconut Oil
1/4 tsp Sea Salt

Chocolate:

1 1/2 Cup Lily’s Dark Chocolate Chips (or Any Chocolate of Choice)
1 Tbsp Coconut Oil

How to Make Your Healthy Twix Bars:

Preheat your oven to 3745.

Mix the dry ingredients together and add in the wet and mix together.

Pat the twix base ingredients into a parchment lined loaf pan.

Bake for 18-20 minutes (check to see if it is starting to brown on the edges.

Remove from the oven and let cool.

In a small sauce pan, heat up the peanut butter, syrup and coconut oil until it is well combined and runny like caramel!

Pour the caramel mixture onto the base (still in the loaf pan) and spread it evenly.

Place the pan into the freezer and freeze for 4 hours.

Once the base and caramel are frozen (after the 4 hours), remove from the loaf pan and cut into 10 bars.

Melt the chocolate and coconut oil (I did this on the stove on low) and use a fork to dip each bar into the chocolate and coat. Place the bars on a cooling rack with parchment under it as it gets messy!

Drizzle chocolate onto any pieces that did not get coated.

Place in the fridge for 2-30 minute and enjoy!

* NOTE: Some might break when you dip them in the chocolate. That’s ok! Enjoy the pieces big or small.
You can always cut the 10 bars in half before dipping to make them “mini Healthy Twix Bars” 😉

My husband and daughter really enjoyed these Healthy Twix Bars and next time I will try them with pure maple syrup.

Let me know on INSTAGRAM if you make these and how they turn out!!

Are you a chocolate lover too? What’s your favourite dark or milk?

Do you struggle with thinning hair? Do you shed a lot of hair when you wash it?

If you do, I feel you so deeply. It is SO HARD when you’re in this..

My desire to live a healthier life and embodied in my feminine essence started hair used to be so thin around the front of my head and I was very self conscious about it. All of my spare time would be invested into reading why my hair was falling out and what I could do today to grow my hair back thick and full.

This is a picture of me before I started to use essential oils to grow my hair back. You can see my hair was thin and brittle.

My hair BEFORE!

Although I was smiling in this picture, my self confidence was very low and I was very stressed over my hair loss. Every single day I would spend time researching natural ways to grow my hair back and also looking up what the cause of my hair loss was…

Have you ever been so concerned with your health that you were obsessed with researching natural solutions online?

Here’s the thing, no only was I shedding a lot of hair, I also had bad adult acne.

Thankfully I saw a naturopathic doctor who told me to switch from my vegan diet to a diet that was more carnivore!

I was a vegan for 4 years went vegan to try specifically to heal my skin and my hair. However, for my body type I was make it worse by eliminating animal protein and good quality dairy!

Back to the topic of this post, essential oils for hair growth! As you can imagine I was really eager to get my hair to grow back and this is when I bought my essential oil kit with doTERRA.

How essential oils help your hair grow!

Essential oils can work so powerfully to reduce inflammation, increase blood flow, and scalp thickness. All while stimulating the scale for healthy hair growth!

Good quality essential oils enter quickly to the skin and body. I use the best quality essential oils with doTERRA. You can always shop my oils here!

Anyways, my gorgeous blend that stimulates the scalp for new hair growth also supports your hair health and hormones!

This is the essential oil blend for hair growth that I have been using!

I add about 10 drops of each of these oils to a 50ml spay bottle and top the rest with purified water.

Rosemary Essential Oil is the best for hair growth.

Lavender Essential Oil is incredible for fast cell turnover. So applying it to your scalp will help with your scalps health.

Frankincense is an incredible anti inflammatory! If anything is causing inflammation on your scalp and this is causing a block in the follicle, let this oil support you.

Peppermint is fun for stimulating blood flow! Add peppermint and then give your scalp a good massage!

Arborvitae I had read once that in Chinese medicine they use it for hair growth, so naturally I added a few drops to my scalp spray.

To use this blend, spray it onto your scalp after washing. I love to add a lot to my scalp and give a good massage.

Now, you can add this to your hair daily, but it will leave it wet at the roots.

My secret for the days I was not washing my hair was to add the oils without water to the palm of my hand (I would only use a couple drops of each) and then dip my finger tips into the oils and massage onto my scalp. This would not make my hair greasy and it would not leave it wet!

What does my hair look like now?

My hair has never been healthier! I am so grateful that what I have been doing has been working so well for my hair! This photo was taken 12 months postpartum as well : )

What else can you do for natural hair growth?

  1. Your hormones might need some support and if they do, contact me and I can support you with oils to help you.

I used essential oils and supplements to heal my hormones and the supplements also aided in my hair growth.

You can even purchase my hair growth spray here!

2. Eat well for your hair! I follow the Weston A Price diet which is high in good fats from raw cheese and yogurt and I eat a lot of grass fed butter. High quality grass fed protein has really helped my hair.

3. Don’t over wash your hair! If your hair gets greasy quickly you will need to train it so you don’t wash it daily. I now wash my hair once a week and it never actually gets super gross any more.

4. Use good quality natural shampoo and conditioner. Make sure your shampoo doesn’t have silicones in it as that can build up on your scalp and cause blockages.

5. Manage your stress! This is why I preach about women coming into their femininity and honouring their bodies and radiance. Make sure you are taking time through the day to list out what needs to get done in your planner (Happy Planner is what I use), so it’s out of your mind process your emotions and voice your needs.

If you need support with growing your hair, please comment and I’m happy to support you the best I can!
